FAU Professor Invents Anti-Texting and Driving System

WPTV

To some, it may sound like the work of "Big Brother", but it's actually the invention of a professor at FAU.  Professor Daniel Raviv is awaiting patent on his device that he believes would help out in conjunction with the new texting and driving ban in Florida.

A lot of us use gps map systems to show where our cars are on the road. It's that system that Raviv harnesses to stop your phone from texting while the vehicle is  moving.

The professor and engineer says his technology knows if the vehicle is moving and stops that phone from being able to text.

It even knows which cell phone is in the front left part of the car...the driver's seat.
